Connecting Learning

What We Do

Métier Education provides training and technical assistance to transform systems.

From building quality apprenticeships and job-embedded certificates and degrees at local colleges and universities to building innovative community programs, we integrate strategies for change. Our goal is to facilitate connections - between communities, employers, workforce development organizations, and universities to build and sustain models for improvement.

We assist non-profits, employers, college and university leaders in strategic planning, piloting and scaling to build and support organizational innovation, including:

  • Degree Pathway Design

We work with IHE faculty and staff to co-design certificate, Associates, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree pathways that incorporate intensive work experience with an emphasis on job-relevant coursework.

  • Employer Content Connection

We facilitate connecting employer on-the-job training to accredited course content; using employer content as foundational to degrees.

  • Strategic Planning and Evaluation

We work to develop a plan focused on the identification of strategic partners (colleges and employers), to support employer professional development goals, colleges enrollment targets and student need. Plans are designed to maximize implementation of low cost degree pathways and apprenticeship programs.

  • Leverage Technology

As appropriate, we will facilitate the integration of technology to track placement logistics and data analytics with the goal of documenting the student learning happening in the workplace.
